For the next 30 days 100% of the artist's share of all sales of this image are being donated to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

The slaughter of 20,000 wild dolphins, porpoises, and small whales occurs in Japan each year. A small Japanese town called Taiji has become infamous for its annual capture and slaughter of wild dolphins at what has now become known as 'Killing Cove'. Entire family units, pods, are captured and mercilessly slaughtered for meat. Some dolphins that are considered to be more commercially attractive, severely traumatised after having witnessed their family members being killed, are taken into captivity never to see the ocean again. This so-called 'cultural tradition' is far from humane, these highly intelligent creatures endure prolonged physical and mental torture at the hands of the Japanese fisherman.
